4. How to prioritise CFAP 1 revision

Priority 1 — Consolidation: Group SOFP, SOCI, SOCF, step acquisitions, disposals, complex groups and foreign subsidiaries. Seen in all 23 past attempts.
Priority 2 — Integrated standards: Practise combinations of IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IFRS 2, IFRS 15, IAS 21, IAS 19 and IAS 36 under exam conditions.
Priority 3 — IAS 12 and financial instruments: Include deferred tax adjustments, classifications, impairment and compound instruments.
Priority 4 — Broader syllabus coverage: Ethics, IAS 34, specialized accounts and standards that appear less frequently as stand-alone questions still require revision.

5. Suggested four-week practice plan

Week Focus Practice approach
1 Consolidation Timed group accounts questions, including SOFP, SOCI and SOCF
2 IFRS / IAS mixed questions Practise integrated standards and explain each accounting treatment
3 IAS 12, financial instruments and specialized areas Solve question sets and review weak concepts
4 Past papers and final revision Full timed attempts, error log and focused re-attempts
