CA Induction & Articleship Resource Center
From choosing a training route to building your CV, preparing applications, practising interviews and settling into articleship — everything in one place.
Follow These Steps in Order
Induction is easier when you treat it as a process instead of applying randomly. Start by deciding your direction, research organizations properly, improve your professional profile, then apply and prepare for selection.
Decide: Firm or Industry?
First decide what type of exposure you want. If your interest is audit, assurance, tax, advisory or future practice, firm-based training may fit better. If you are targeting corporate finance, banking, FP&A or business-side roles, industry training may be more relevant.
Research Firms & Industries
Shortlist organizations from official sources, then compare exposure, department, city, study support and career fit.
Build Your CV & Improve LinkedIn
Your CV and LinkedIn should tell the same professional story. Keep the CV concise, accurate and easy to scan. On LinkedIn, update your headline, About section, education, CA progress, relevant skills and professional photo before sending applications.
Apply Professionally & Track Every Application
Use a proper email subject, attach a correctly named PDF CV, tailor the message where possible and maintain an application tracker. Record organization, route, date applied, test/interview status and follow-up date.
Prepare for Tests & Interviews
Prepare HR, CV-based, accounting, audit, tax, behavioural and scenario questions. Practise answers aloud and revise technical basics. For target firms, use the firm-wise reported preparation pages rather than memorizing scripts.
Compare the Offer, Then Start Strong
Before accepting, understand department, office location, training route, learning exposure, study support, stipend/payment terms and joining requirements. Once you join, focus on reliability, documentation, feedback and professional habits in the first month.
Interview & Test Preparation by Firm
Use these pages after preparing the generic question bank. Firm-specific themes are based on student-reported feedback and may vary by office, department and intake.

Firms with Satisfactory QCR RatingQCR = Quality Control Review. ICAP reviews audit firms’ quality-control systems and compliance with professional standards. A satisfactory QCR rating is a useful research signal for students shortlisting audit firms, but it should be considered alongside training exposure, department, study support and career direction.View Current ICAP QCR List →
SBP Audit Firm Categories (A/B/C)State Bank of Pakistan’s Panel of Auditors classifies eligible audit firms for Banks and DFIs. Category A may audit all Banks/DFIs; Category B is limited to Banks/DFIs with assets up to Rs 100 billion or up to 160 branches; Category C is limited to assets up to Rs 15 billion or up to 30 branches. This is a banking-audit eligibility classification, not an overall ranking of firms.View SBP Panel of Auditors →
How SC E-Learning Handles Student-Reported Data +
- Student names, phone numbers, emails, CRNs and private identifiers are not published.
- Reference material is reorganized and rewritten into original SC E-Learning guidance rather than copied verbatim.
- Stipend, environment and interview information is described as reported information and dated where possible.
- We do not label firms as “best” or “worst”; students receive comparison information to make their own decisions.
- Database material is reviewed before it is made public.
